Your Ride
Oil on one side, nitrogen on the other, kept apart by a floating piston. The oil can't mix with gas and foam up, so your shock gives you the same control on a long grade as it did at the top.
How It Works
Cutaway of an HD Shocks 2.5 inch IFP monotube shock cycling through its stroke. Oil flows through ports in the piston and bends the shim stacks that control compression and rebound. A floating piston keeps the oil separate from the nitrogen charge, so the oil never mixes with gas and foams up.
