Is it HD Shocks or King?
It's HD Shocks. You might hear owners on the forums call them "King HD" or "King shocks from HD Shocks." Same shock. The right name is HD Shocks.
HD Shocks is our own brand, started by Pat Gerber in Bakersfield, California. We pick the shock for each chassis, set the valving for the real weight it carries, handle fitment, and stand behind every part. King Shocks builds them for us in Garden Grove, California.
Why we build with King
King is one of the best shock builders in the country, proven in off-road racing, and they build here in the USA. When we started HD Shocks, we wanted that level of build quality on vehicles that never had it: Super C motorhomes, semis and heavy work trucks. So we design the shock for the job, and King builds it.

About Pat Gerber
Pat has about 30 years in suspension, starting in monster truck racing. He also founded Direct Offroad, a full-service suspension shop in Bakersfield, in 2015. HD Shocks came from seeing heavy-vehicle owners stuck with shocks that were never built for the weight they carry.
